Keep up on all that 's happenin' in Holy Hip Hop!
Hot!3rd DegreeHot!

What do y'all think of Eminem content AND skill wise?

Tru: I don't listen to him, but I saw a funny picture of him from High School in Blaze.

Absolute1: Content, obviously I am not agreeing with, but skill wise, he's pretty dope.

Roc: His name comes from candy.

Do you think he's helped open the door for white emcees or not?

Tru: I've been rapping since before I ever heard of a "white" emcee and I've never really thought about it as a barrier. Well not enough to have a good answer anyway.

How are you as group different from the other Holy Hip-Hop groups out there?

Tru: We don't follow any particular formulas for our music. We have no real boundaries stylistically. We are willing to try anything as long as it doesn't interfere with our moral standards and relationship with God.

Absolute1: I don't know all of them, but from the one's I've met, I think we tend to be more about just being ourselves and not caring about the images you are 'supposed' to have.... if we feel like going fly fishing, we go, or if we feel like wearing dirty shoes, dirty T-shirt, and some junky pants (Mista Tru!), we do! Hee Hee.....

Roc: I secretly don't keep it real.

How would you describe your CD (style and content wise)?

Tru: I can only say that it seems like a wide variety of people enjoy it. Content wise...I think it is pretty cool. It addresses a lot of issues that I think need to be spoken about.

Absolute1: Universal Hip-Hop with really dope guests!

Roc: It's VERY Digital.

What's the first secular rap each of you remember hearin'? What'd you think?

Tru: Rappers Delight. My Father had a cassette and 12 inch single in 1979 and I would rap along with it. Also Kurtis Blows first album. The first stuff that got me real amped was LL Cool J, Run DMC, and the Fat Boys. That was the stuff that got me real fired up about Hip-Hop music.

What's the first Holy Hip-Hop rap each of you remember hearin'? What'd you think?

Tru: Rappin' For Jesus (Stephen Wiley)

Roc: Ketty Lester's "Let's Talk About Jesus" on Vinyl! I think Tru forgot, cause the first time I heard it was when he was break dancing to it for my youth service.

Do you have any thing else that you'd like ta share?

Tru: Dirt is my friend. E-roc is my friend. Play-dough is my friend. I love my wife and Children. Thank you!

Absolute1: Ya, I would like to just challenge all the readers to support not only us, but all the cats doing this! Go to the shows, because Holy Hip-Hop can only get better if people are there to receive what message we all got! Oh, and make sure to eat some Cocoa Puffs and a pineapple for me!

Roc: I hate evil.
