After you have a tight CONCEPT you gotta make sure that you're lyrics FIT and FOCUS on that concept. Your lyrics need to bring the listener's mind into the concept. They need to be able ta feel what you're sayin'--picture it. Your lyrics need to fit the concept. If your concept is deep, then ya can get deep with the lyrics. If yo' concept is more of a party vibe, then you could be more light with the lyrics if ya wanna be. You can't come off all hard if yo' presentin' a light concept. You can't come at it with a light style if you're talkin' about somethin' hard. You gotta create the mood for the presentation of yo' concept!. Think about HOW you wanna present yo' songs concept to your audience. I've read once that Rakim will just sit there and let his mind dwell on his song's concept. He'll just think about all the things he can say about it. He think about all the different lyrical ways he can say those things. He'll think about all the words he can use to decribe the concept. Rakim is the (or one of the) nicest MC's that have ever spit a rhyme. If you wanna be anything close ta what he is then ya better make sure your lyrics present yo' concept in the most original and unique way possible. HINTS: You might wanna write a down a sentence that describes what part of the concept each verse is gonna focus on. That way you won't go off track or repeat yourself. You usually want the chorus of yo' song to speak on the main idea of the concept. That way it'll stick in people's minds. The next letter in "CLAMP"
